The best time to get started with the stock market is as soon as possible, so what are you waiting for?
Oh yea, that’s right… you need an investing app…
Well, you came to the right place!
Today we’re going to compare Robinhood with Acorns and help you figure out which of these easy to use investing apps is best for you.
Which investing app is best, Robinhood or Acorns?
Both of these investing apps are great, but each one is definitely better for certain things.
Robinhood is more suited for people who are looking to actively invest and pick their own stocks, options, ETFs, etc…
Acorns is made for passive investors, and it does a better job at providing a really passive investing experience than Robinhood does, or any other investing app for that matter.
Robinhood is free, while Acorns has a small monthly fee, so that’s one thing to also consider.
You can’t really go wrong with either one of these apps though, both of them are high-quality and will help you make your money work for you.

Which app has the best services and features, Robinhood or Acorns?
Which investing app is easiest to use, Robinhood or Acorns?
How simple is Robinhood to use?
Robinhood is really easy to use and is a wonderful feeling app to invest with.
I’ve never had any problems with it and everything is really intuitive.
I can definitely see why a lot of new investors end up picking robinhood, because it combines a good mix of active investing with easy to understand functionality.
Is Acorns simple to use?
The only way to make Acorns any more simple is to have the company send you money to invest so you can skip that part of the process too.
This app just asks you a few questions about your financial situation and your risk tolerance, then chooses what to invest your money into.
Or you can manually choose which fund you want to invest in at any time.
Which investing app is easiest to use?
Acorns always wins this category, and it deserves it. It’s the one thing Acorns does REALLY well.
Robinhood is one of the easier active investing apps around though, so if you want to be more hands-on with your investing, check it out.
Robinhood and Acorns sign-up and referral reward programs
A free share of stock for signing up with Robinhood is what started this whole website, and guess what?
They are still giving out stocks!
Here are some more details about the Robinhood and Acorns referral programs.
Robinhood sign-up and referral program
The Robinhood sign-up and referral bonus is still the same as it has been ever since I started using this app…
Every new user gets a free share of a random stock, worth between $2-$200.
Every new user you invite who opens an account will also earn you a free share of a random stock, with a maximum of $500 per year.
Acorns sign-up and referral program
Acorns is pretty much always running amazing referral promotions where you can earn hundreds of dollars by inviting a few people within a month.
Their regular sign-up and referral bonus is only $5 when you sign up and deposit $5, but if you’re also completing the promotion offers, you can make some serious cash from Acorns, without even having to invest.
Best sign-up and referral program?
Both of these investing apps have pretty solid referral programs and bonuses, but Acorns wins here simply because of their amazing promotions.
It’s not THAT hard to get 4 people to sign up for a service in a month and a few hundred dollars is a lot of money.
Robinhood and Acorns stock research tools
Robinhood stock research tools
Robinhood really only has candlestick charts and basic line graphs, as well as some other basic information about companies, like p/e ratio, dividend yield, market cap, etc…
Their tools aren’t the best on the planet, and to get access to level 2 market data you have to be a Robinhood Gold subscriber, but overall the tool are decent enough for a mobile investing app.
If you want REALLY GOOD tools, then you may want to try an app like Webull instead, because most of the other investing apps don’t have powerful technical analysis tools, unless you’re using apps from the professional trading platforms.
Acorns stock research tools
Acorns doesn’t exactly have the traditional technical analysis tools like some of the other investing apps do.
Instead, Acorns just has different funds for different types of investors, and the robo-advisor picks one for you, or you can pick one manually.
It’s super simple and doesn’t require tools, but they do show a breakdown of what each fund is made up of.
Best stock research tools, Robinhood or Acorns?
Well, Robinhood has actual tools, so it kind of wins by default, but Acorns doesn’t exactly need stock research tools, so cut Acorns some slack.
Both of these apps are solid, and the tools they offer investors are great for what each app does.
